Participatory AI is a field of work that focuses on recruiting participants to gather information
about community needs and better cater AI solutions to this information. By incorporating humans in the design of our systems,
we hope to redistribute power in AI towards historically marginalized populations and ensure that AI development benefits those that it is meant to serve.
This database is a space for users to document their participatory AI projects and papers. The goal is to capture a variety of recruitment methods
across a multitude of fields to provide a starting point for future participatory AI projects. By highlighting the different recruitment processes,
more effective methods can be identified to ensure successful participation in favor of equitable and inclusive outcomes and to encourage the
collaboration of humans and AI throughout the implementation of AI projects.
